Due to the success of last year’s winter market, M&C is “growing” its events’ calendar and will this year host not one, not two but three weekend markets.
Last November, M&C hosted a mammoth winter market held for the first time in the glass plant market.
The event, held over two days attracted local crafters and artisan food and drink producers.
Now the garden centre has decided to not only recreate the winter market but over two weekends in November, but it will also host a summer one as well.
Peter Wilson, owner of M&C said: “We were absolutely thrilled with the response we got from stallholders for our winter market that we have decided to make this year’s offering much bigger and to introduce a summer one as well.
“The products and produce that was on display was phenomenal and a real showcase for what amazing artists and creators we have in the local area.”
He added: “It was also welcomed by our customers who enjoyed the way we used the space at a time of year when gardening is not so high on the agenda.”
The summer event will be held on August 18th and 19th with the winter market being held on the 10th and 11th of November and the 17th and 18th of November.
Peter said: “This year we plan to move the crafters out of the glass plant market and into the undercover area. We want to make it bigger and better and the M&C team are looking at some ideas as well. We want to bring that area to life at the end of the summer and in the middle of the winter.”
The stalls cost £25 with the money being donated to charity.
Peter added: “For the winter market we are looking to attract different stallholders each weekend so that we offer our customers as much variety as possible. Last year the stalls were free, however, this year the money generated from people taking stalls will be donated to charity. ”
